Earlier I had bought the 2MP HP Webcam and it did not work. Logitech does not state on the box that it does work with the Mac but it does. I simply plugged it in (USB) and it worked. I've already used it with Skype and the quality of the video is very crisp and clear. There was no software to install (remember this is a Mac not Windows).

Bought this camera after reading other reviews about Mac compatibility, and it works perfectly and instantly. It took about 20 minutes to load all of the drivers and reboot on my PC laptop from work.

Be aware that the software from Logitech which allowsyou to control the camera for still shots and recorded video does not work. I was able to find some freeware on the web that does that job though.

Performance is good with lighting, but movement seems to be delayed a bit and anything larger than 3X3 insize is starts to pixelize, but that may be par for the course at this price range.

All in all, a good value with the rebate.
